Invocation: Pietisten Annual Meeting

Our Heavenly Father,

We invoke your presence at this annual Pietist event. Surely You are in the place.

We bow together in the train of many who came before us: Philip Spener and August Franke, Carl Rosenius and Peter Paul Waldenström, Edla Matson and Alva Johanson, David Nyvall and Karl Olsson, Erik Hawkinson and Don Frisk, Søren Kierkegaard and Paul Holmer, Carl Wistrom and Albin Erickson, Nils Lund and Carroll Peterson, Zenos Hawkinson and Mel Soneson, Bruce Carlson and Philip Keillor and a host of others in our thoughts.

Thank you for the different and exciting ways your grace, hope, and joy flowed in and through their individual lives. Make us like them children of the light.

Bless now our time together. We offer You thanks for those who made this event possible, for the food served, for the musicians and the speakers, and for the chance just to be here. In your light may we see light and in your service may we find perfect freedom and peace.
